Assaying
& Hallmarking
2008
is a milestone year in Indian jewellery history. It is
the year in which Gold hallmarking becomes compulsory.
Each & every customer will have access to assayed
& hallmarked (certified) gold jewellery.
With
a view on the long-term, CLL set up a gold & silver
hallmarking center in Indore - the first of it's kind in
Central India. An investment of over INR 10 million was
made in instrumentation alone -
Today,
CLL's Assaying & Hallmarking Center has been
approved by Bureau of Indian Standards. The center's
quality systems are based on ISO/IEC 17025 and routinely
particpates in inter-laboratory programs.
What's
amazing is the exceptionally rapid turnaround time which
is often less than 12 hours. It is center's endevour to
return all jewellery to the reuesting jeweller's on the
same day even it means that we have to run extended /
dual shifts. This is extremely beneficial to jewellery
trade where the gold values fluctuate on a daily basis.
